平溪 有多遠，去過才知道。
一個落寞的小城市，民國７年，全面開採本鄉煤礦，並投下巨資開闢平溪線鐵路，使本鄉進入發展的蓬勃期，形成現今的平溪村聚落、菁桐坑聚落與十分村聚落，直到民國六Ｏ年代，隨著礦坑逐漸停採，本鄉人口大量外移，盛極一時的礦業城市又回復到以農為生的鄉村。
沒有來過平溪，就不知道有多遠。沒有去過平溪，就不知道幸福原來垂手可得。

用自己的雙腳努力的踩著每一個迴圈，腳踏車就這樣緩緩的往前進。從台北市出發－－到了深坑－－石碇－－再到平溪。原來 平溪一點都不遠
